Okay so usually I wouldn't blog about twitter beefs because I think its stupid and childish but this one caught my eye because of how far its gone. For the last week or so Twitter has been going insane because Rihanna and Teyana Taylor have been going at it! It all started when Teyana posted a video of her singing Anita Baker's hit song Caught In The Rapture.

Shortly after that video Rihanna's friend and hairstylist Yusef posted a video of himself singing the same song in a wig, a snapback and sneaks. Coincidence? Not likely! Rihanna captioned the video: "B!t$#es be like…yasssss".

Girl if that ain't SHADE. I DON'T WHAT IS.

So naturally when Teyana Taylor saw it she was not happy. Here's her tweets toward the SHADE:

Rihanna decided to clap back and here's what was said:

It Just Keeps Getting Worse Ya'll Teyana Clapped Back:

Then Rihanna's Friend Melissa Decides to Chime In:

Then Karrauche Posted a Small Hit Toward the Feud (At least its perceived as a READ):

After all the fallout, the hair stylist speaks out on his part in this stupid beef and he claims he wasn't trying to cause no drama it was a just a fun sing a along:

“Honestly, I just finished making the wig. I started making the video. It was amazing, no malicious intent towards Teyana,” he said. “I just think it was uncalled for.” “Teyana killed that song.”
Williams admitted that though he doesn’t know Taylor personally, they have mutual friends.
When asked if Rihanna took Taylor’s tweets personally, Williams said the Diamonds singer is too focused with her work to be going back and forth with Taylor.
“She [Rihanna] could care less. It was funny. Thats whats so funny. It wasn’t like that.,” he said. “She doesn’t care., that’s her personality.”
Williams also defended Rihanna and said she’s no “cyber bully.”
“Cyber bully is harsh word. She is focused, being Rihanna. She is not sitting around. She didn’t grab her phone. She is the most kind and giving person. I just think for that to go the way it went, it was uncalled for.”
In an earlier statement, Williams said that Taylor took the video and “ran like the wind.”
“It turned into this big drama, but I guess it was all good at the end of the day to help with her new album. A little publicity doesn’t hurt good or bad these days,” he wrote.

Its just too messy!

Then Teyana posted a picture on her profile background on twitter. People were outraged and up in arms. Heres the picture:

Thats when the petition got started. Jan Brown started a petition that requested Teyana Taylor be removed from Adidas as a spokesperson and designer. And this petition is making moves. Nearly obtaining the required 2500 signatures. Here's the gist of the petition and major blogs that have supported it:
Miss Taylor first (before the image above) started sending abusive and offensive tweets/retweets to Rihanna for over a period of 8 hours. This is not about RIHANNA, this is about all the ABUSED WOMEN of the world being MOCKED! IT IS A SHAME that ADIDAS seems to be endorsing @TEYANATAYLOR!
We demand that you do the right thing and terminate her contract and send a strong message to your consumers! Letting one of your sponsors mock a domestic violence victim discourages your female customers from speaking out against their abusers!!!
The petition has been gathering momentum and we thank the following blogs for their support;
@thatgrapejuice Reebok Asked To Terminate Teyana Taylor Endorsement Following Domestic Violence Remark http://bit.ly/190ZUJ6
@thatgrapejuice Domestic Abuse Victims Flood Rihanna / Teyana Taylor Petition: ‘She’s A Disgrace’ http://bit.ly/1h2l4f1
@VibeMagazine Furious Petitioners Want Adidas-Reebok To Drop Teyana Taylorhttp://bit.ly/1727TZR
Gotta admit that the picture was going to far. But removing her from her Adidas is over the top.
Her shoes have had many #sneakerfiends clamoring for them and it was a good business deal for Adidas to team up with Teyana. The 22 year old obviously has an eye for what people want in sneakers these days and they aren't half bad. Her first pair of Harlem GLCs (the name of her line) "Good Luck Charm" dropped in February and apparently did very well.

She was set to release her next pair in November, but because of this petition this may be halted. However no one has word from Adidas or Teyana Taylor's camp as far as her being dropped and her shoe line scrapped.

Shortly after this petition went up another one went up. For Rihanna to be fired by MAC! The petition reads like this:

"Rihanna has many young fans that look up to her and bullying is a HUGE problem that we are facing with the youth today. She is known for constantly bullying and picking fights with people over the internet and this is a problem that has been going on for a while now. By consistently attacking people online about their looks and reminding them how they are beneath her, she is using her platform in a very negative light and does not provide a positive image for MAC cosmetics or any of the other companies that she endorses. She is a poor role model and promotes habitual drug use."
"The effects of cyber-bullying will stunt the growth of our beautiful nation by weakening the psyche of the women of tomorrow who will lead us into the next century. Is this someone who you want representing your brand? It's time that Rihanna learns that bullying is UNACCEPTABLE and will not be tolerated!"
Let's just hope that neither one of these ladies loses their livelihood and can just squash this petty BS!

I happen to think both of these petitions are ridiculous but are for a good cause and I know that peoples hearts in the right place but this is uncalled for. I'll explain why later.

Electronic artist Clive Tanaka is suing the Princess of Rap over her song Starships. Nicki's producers: RedOne, Falk, Hector and Yacoub, are also named in the lawsuit. Being natives to Sweden these producers knew and heard of the song, because it was in syndication throughout the country in various television ads. Clive Tanaka's song called Neu Chicago was widely popular over in Sweden and his lawyer Christopher Niro says the songs are nearly identical. Nicki's camp has yet to respond but I assume this will be dealt with outside of court.

Having listened to the song I have to say it is the same music melody and arrangement except for the breakdowns. Listen below for yourself:

The music industry is no stranger to copyright infringement. This has happened before. The most well known is probably the one-hit-wonder rapper Vanilla Ice. He was sued for his song Ice Ice Baby. The song he ripped off was David Bowies - Under Pressure.  He won his case though because his song had one more hit on the snare drum than the original. An extra hit on the snare drum made the judge rule in Vanilla Ice's favor. Don't know if the scales will tip in Nicki Minaj's favor, the court system is fickle.

Here's My Advice:

Nicki, honey you should settle this out of court and pay this guy the money. Listening to the track it sounds like the producers ripped off his song without his consent. Just settle this quietly and no one will even know. Well no one but me and the few thousand people who read the
Chicago blog I got this from and the few people who read this blog, anyway just pay the man. It'll go away eventually and maybe he can be a producer for you since you like his music. At least it'll be legit, right? #imjussayin

Apparently the House of Representatives aren't on board with keeping the food stamps program alive. Many citizens of the United States use the food stamps program to feed their families but many congressman (mainly republicans) have voted numerous times to do away with the program. Claiming that it is not cost effective and putting a strain on the government.

Well Congresswoman Jackie Speier says no. The congresswoman stood tall on the House of Representatives floor and spoke about the importance of food stamps how some constituents probably wouldn't eat if they didn't have it. She also pointed out how Congress was reimbursed monies for hundred dollar meals that they may or may not have eaten. She called out these congressman in a manner of speaking and brought with her several props a thick steak, a can of expensive caviar and a bottle of vodka.

Her is some of her speech about specific members of Congress and their frivolous spending on lodging and food during their trips in foreign countries:

She explains the families in her district that are on food stamps and how many of the congressman who are voting against keeping Food Stamps have THOUSANDS ON THE PROGRAM:
“In my district, California 14, we have about 4,000 families who are on food stamps, but some of my colleagues have thousands and thousands more,” Rep. Speier said.
After that she goes for the jugular. Keep on Reading Y'all:
“Yet, they somehow feel like crusaders, like heroes when they vote to cut food stamps. Some of these same members travel to foreign countries under the guise of official business. They dine at lavish restaurants, eating steak, vodka and even caviar. They receive money to do this. That’s right, they don’t pay out of pocket for these meals.”
“Let me give you a few examples: One member was given $127.41 a day for food on his trip to Argentina. He probably had a fair amount of steak,” she said.
“Another member was given $3,588 for food and lodging during a six-day trip to Russia. He probably drank a fair amount of vodka and probably even had some caviar. That particular member has 21,000 food stamp recipients in his district. One of those people who is on food stamps could live a year on what this congressman spent on food and lodging for six days,” she added.

“Another 20 members made a trip to Dublin, Ireland. They got $166 a day for food. These members didn’t pay a dime. They received almost $200 for a single meal only for themselves. Yet, for them the idea of helping fellow Americans spend less than $5 a day makes their skin crawl. The families of veterans, of farmers, of the disabled, of the working poor are not visible to them, not even when they are their own constituents.”

She never names these congressman but on Buzzfeed they do! Here's the congressman who were on these lavish trips but voted against Food Stamps [via Buzzfeed.com and Roll Call]:
  • The member of Congress who took the trip to Argentina who spent $127 was Rep. Frank Lucas of Oklahoma and the trip was sponsored by the Franklin Center for Global Policy Exchange.
  • The member of Congress who took the trip to Russia was Rep. Steve King of Iowa.
  • The 20 members of Congress who went to Dublin can be found here. The trip, sponsored by the Franklin Center for Global Policy Exchange, had an estimated budget of $450,000 to $750,000 according to Roll Call.

Inside you'll find that Kelly Rowland is a normal girl just loving herself! She explains in her article her workout routine. Working out 5 to 6 times a week and having moments where she just wanted to murder her trainer. She also explains that she's not on a diet and hates that word. She's on a healthy eating plan and has learned how to curb her eating habits to maintain her coveted physique. For example when she gets a steak craving she opts for portobello mushrooms instead and then instead of peanut butter cups she opts almond butter and bananas (1 tsp of almond butter and a slice of banana).

I like Kelly Rowland. She's honest and seems like a nice person. Plus girl can sang! LMAO.

Congrats Ms. Kelly on your success!

Lupe Fiasco is being caught up in some news that I never would've associated with him. According to TMZ the ex-wife of Chilly is suing Lupe for hiding well over $9 million dollars from her.

If you're a fan of Lupe Fiasco's as I am then you would know about Charles Chilly Patton a former mentor of Lupe's and a convicted drug lord. Chilly was busted in 2003 carrying 6 Kilos of heroin which later lead to the evidence of his heroin empire in Chicago. His ex-wife Inita is claiming that Lupe helped his friend by hiding the money before Chilly went down so that she wouldn't get the money. She claims that Chilly left instructions for Lupe to follow to the letter. Allegedly the instructions were to hide the money in a secret account that only he and Chilly would know about.

Lupe Fiasco and his lawyers have denied these allegations. Lupe's lawyers have stated that despite the ties that Lupe has to Chilly he has not participated in any illegal activity, there are no hidden accounts and no instructions. Chilly Patton is counter suing his ex-wife Inita for squandering funds given to her for real estate ventures that never happened.

Lupe Fiasco has responded via twitter saying:
"Dear God please let this stupid a-- scandal allow me to make more money from album sales so I can buy a Ferrari F40. Amen #100Bricks,"
Well that answers that!

A college student named Amanda Thurston posted on her Twitter and Vine a video clip with the caption: "Welcome to FAMU I mean FSU. #monkeyseverywhere #FSU #MarketWednesday"

After her video clip and caption went viral her fellow classmates took action. Calling for an immediate expulsion, for her racial slurs and racist attitude. But Amanda deleted all her social networking accounts and went to the police claiming her accounts had been hacked. Right. The police are investigating to see if Amanda is indeed telling the truth.

Regardless the students of Florida State are going to hold a Town Hall meeting on September 11th.

Well What Do I Think?

Amanda Thurston knew what she was doing when posted that video. Do I think her account was hacked? No I highly doubt it. She's just running to save face. But you would have to be a moron to think this would work. Although you've shut down you social media accounts they can still be traced back to your phone, laptop and or desktop computer.

Amanda just admit what you did, accept your consequences and move on. And try to make better decisions about the things you post on social media. It can be detrimental to your reputation and scar you for life.

Honestly I don't know the girl so I can't say for sure she was doing this with malice in her heart but just the mere fact that she entertained the ideas and posted it online is not helping her case.

Amanda give up the charade and admit your mistake. It'll all work out in the long run.

I've always been a fan of Viola Davis. She's strong and she's a well rounded actress who can work within any genre of movie: Fantasy, Docu Drama, Action/Adventure, Drama, etc. She is always graceful and I just absolutely would love to meet her one day.

She is quoted in Essence saying this:

She says: “I had to defend myself as an artist, but I found myself defending myself as a dark-skinned Black woman in front of people who did not know my life. I took my wig off because I no longer wanted to apologize for who I am.”
Yo Go Mrs. Viola Davis! Embracing her natural hair! The cool thing about Mrs. Viola Davis is that she can wear anything and still be beautiful. Congrats on the cover and extreme success in your career!

Be Sure to Go See Her New Thriller Prisoners! It chronicles the abduction of 2 young girls and one fathers relentless pursuit to get them back! Prisoners is currently in Theatres and its Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal, Hugh Jackman, Viola Davis, Terrence Howard, and Melissa Leo!

Drake gets the honor of being the cover boy or rather man of XXL's 150th Issue! Big feature if you ask me. There is a pretty interesting interview in the magazine asking Drake questions that have yet to be answered such as the Amanda Bynes obsession, his new album's focus, and everything in-between. Check out a snippet from his 2 hour interview via XXLMag.com:

ON THE NEW ALBUM
I remember coming into this year thinking, “How am I going to cut through all these people and shine?” I’ve never been part of a year when so many legends are dropping projects. How am I going to be seen? I’m going to be like the kid waving in the background in the photo with all of his tall relatives. And, I guess, those were my initial thoughts, and not to say that I haven’t enjoyed some of the stuff that has come out this year, but it didn’t pan out the way I thought it was going to. I think I am going for it, to really establish what are murmurs or things being said quietly, “Um, I think that Drake might actually…” On September 17th I want people to be like, “Oh, we were right.”

ON HIS IMAGE
Do I think that if I didn’t have, for lack of a better term, a unique look about me, if I was from somewhere in America and if I hadn’t been on a kids TV show [Degrassi: The Next Generation], would I be as famous? I don’t know, man. Honestly, I don’t think so. I was just some young kid on a TV show. And I haven’t become anything else while I’ve been in this position. It’s not like I got here and was like, “Oh, got to switch up my image.” I don’t wake up nervous. I feel like maybe a lot of these guys do. How old are you, really? What is your background, really? What have you really done in the drug game, in the thug game?

ON THE COMPETITION
It’s tough for me. That’s a guy I can't pretend not to like. He’s the guy to me, in a lot of ways. That’s Kanye West. But I'm also here to be the best. I’m here to surpass. I’m here to outdo. I’m ready for whatever with anybody.

ON HIS SUCCESS
I get Jewish people coming up to me proud like, “Mazel Tov, bro. Come to my house for Shabbat dinner.”

AMANDA BYNES
I don't even know who that is doing that or what that’s about. If that is her, I guess it’s a little weird and disturbing. It’s obviously a behavioral pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it’s her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going.

Justin Timberlake is on fire! He's got one of biggest albums in the country and another album is about to drop soon! Justin is also in a new movie with Ben Affleck called Runner Runner and he's covering the New York Times Style Magazine!

Congrats Justin! Hopefully I'll see you Dec. 12th in Cleveland at your concert, which just happens to be my birthday! What a Gift! LOL

Well Tamar's album Love & War dropped last week and I gotta say from my point of view it is a really good album. But now she's on the cover of Ebony Magazine's October Issue. Tamar's giving an in depth interview on her struggle to cope with infertility and the miracle of her son baby Logan.

Congrats Tamar on everything: motherhood, your budding music career, your reality show, talk show, just EVERYTHING! Girl you gotta lot of irons in the fire! LOL

Check out her emotional interview Queen Blogger Necole Bitchie!

This September issue of Ebony Magazine has four different covers. All a tribute to the tragic death of Trayvon Martin and injustice that occurred during George Zimmerman's trial. A movement was created in light of the tragic event called Save Our Sons. Ever since Trayvon's murder there were countless shocking murders before his and astonishingly more after. Young men as young as 11 years old being shot and killed for something as simple as walking in the neighborhood. To prevent these tragedies from happening this organization and movement was created to bring awareness to young men and teach them how to respond when approached by police or anyone. It was started in Jacksonville, Fl by St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church pastor Rev. John Guns.

In light of the families tragedy these celebrity fathers are also gracing the cover of Ebony Magazine in hoodies with their sons.

K. Michelle is pushing past the masses and becoming a true star. This month K. Michelle is gracing the cover of Sister2Sister magazine! Some people are scoffing about her risque outfit. Looking at the theGrio a couple days ago and I came across this article. Apparently there is a church called Freedom House Church in NC that had one simple request when it came to the greeters at the church front doors...white people only. Let me explain:

Paster Makeda Pennycooke sent out an email to her congregation. The email was simplistic it said that first impressions matter and that the church needed to put the best of the best on the front doors. The best way to do that apparently was to have only Caucasians at the front door greeting the members of the congregation as they come in the church for morning service.

The young woman who spoke out about this controversial email is named Carmen Thomas, she contacted the local TV station WBTV to ensure that a story was done about this Pastor's disrespectful and rude request.

She explains in her interview that she was "floored by the request". She goes on by saying:
“Like it was a jaw dropper. You can put a white face all over the front door. But when you come through those doors, you’re going to see African-Americans, you’re gonna see Asians. You’re going to see people of color.”
Ms. Thomas goes on to say:
“Too black. It wasn’t a conclusion that I drew. It was something I read. Perhaps you believe that with a certain congregation that eventually your finances are going to run out because maybe we aren’t the moneymakers,”
Freedom House Church has since issued an apology and statement to WBTV saying:
”Freedom House believes in a diverse relationship within its membership, reflecting the larger community in which the church resides, doing life together as a church representative of everyone — culturally, ethnically, economically, and generationally.”
By the way the Pastor Makeda Pennycooke is African American and so is Ms. Carmen Thomas.

Christina Aguilera is one of the most beautiful people in Hollywood to date. And she's proving it with October's cover of Maxim! She's serving sexy, sultry with ease in these pages. She says "Trying too hard to be sexy is the worst thing you can do. Sexiness should be effortless." Well Mrs. Aguilera, in the words of Tamar Braxton. "She Did That!" LOL. Now Without further ado here's Mrs. Aguilera in her super sexy photoshoot:

Congrats on your cover you look absolutely stunning!

YouTube can make a you a star. Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Bo Burnham, Stevie Ryan, Spoken Reasons all these YouTube stars have made their careers off their YouTube channels. But for this guy it made him both famous and infamous. Kain Carter (love your name by the way) aka Hotdamnirock has been on YouTube for 5 years posting videos about relationships, women, men, just anything he felt like talking about. To me and millions of other people they are hilarious and he's built a very strong following. I was first introduced to him through my little brother. He shared a video on his Facebook timeline called Poor Pussy Management and that was the first video I ever watched by Hotdamnirock but definitely not the last.

It was hilarious and some of it was true but never the less I found it funny, uniquely creative, and completely offensive but in a good way, lol. Anyway from then on I was hooked. I looked at all his past videos, subscribed to catch the new vids and told all my friends and family about his channel.

That was about 3 years ago. I've been a faithful fan of his ever since (still a faithful fan). But within the last year or so I stopped following YouTube for awhile (and I kind of lost track of his videos and a few others that I'm subscribed to) but not for any particular reason I just needed to take a break from the net. And then I woke up one morning to a fire storm of hatred and absolute assault on Hotdamirock. I started to see all these hateful messages about Hotdamnirock in my Twitter and Facebook feed. Calling him a loser, a swagger jacker, people saying they lost respect for him, everything under the sun that was disturbing, disrespectful and rude was there. I was shocked at some of the things that were said. Just basically murdering the man's name and brand all over social media. Well I didn't understand the reason why until my husband came home and told me. Apparently the material used in six of his videos was the material of a famous comic, the late Patrice O'Neal. Hotdamnirock used every word from Patrice O'Neal's show The Black Philip Show in the videos. It was wrong because of the way he went about it, but I don't think that Hotdamnirock was trying to bite off the work. If you scroll down and view the video of his response to all the backlash he's received he explains what happened and why he did it.

Now I knew who Patrice O'Neal was, but I never saw or heard this show before. I saw his stand-up on Comedy Central, it wasn't my cup of tea but it was entertaining enough for me to watch it all the way through. I just wasn't major a fan of his. Doesn't mean I don't respect the man or his craft. He was a great comedian he just wasn't one of my favorites.

When he was ousted so to speak by a guy named Dante Nero, who was a good friend of Patrice's here's the backlash he received from some twitter users (If want the harder ones then you need to search for them yourselves.):
