ELLE Magazine's women of TV issue is so COOL! But the best part is Mindy Kaling being on the cover! Aside from being one of the funniest gals on tv, she is absolutely gorgeous and I love her show the Mindy Project on FOX. Its funny, different, and so relatable its almost scary.

But recently the cover has been under fire since its debut. This months issue of ELLE Magazine has 4 different covers, all with the leading ladies of tv. Amy Poehler of Parks and Recreation on NBC, Zoe Deschanel of New Girl on FOX (One of my fave shows! Love it!), Mindy Kaling of the Mindy Project on FOX (Another Fave, So Freaking Funny!), and Allison Williams of HBOs Girls. Now out of all the covers Mindy's is the only one that doesn't show most of her body and its not in color. Everyone else's cover is at least the majority of the body and in full color HD! Check it out below:

I can see how people could be upset or make a stinker out of the magazines but I don't think this was done on purpose. I think that out of all 4 magazine covers, Mindys is the best. Her magazine cover is high fashion, its regal, elegant, and sophisticated. Her face is beautiful and I think a close up on her was an awesome idea for her magazine. Seriously even Mindy is proud of her cover and having a good laugh with all the publicity and outrage.

Here's what she said via her twitter.

So there you have it! If the cover model isn't mad then why should you. They made her look like a professional model and she has the BEST cover of the 4. So why not be happy about that instead of spewing ignorance and insecurity. Just be happy that smart, intelligent and funny women are taking over TV! You don't see men arguing about why Ryan Gosling got a full body cover in GQ and George Clooney didn't. #Imjussaying. Pull it together ladies!

Congrats Mindy Kaling, Zoe Deschanel, Amy Poehler, and Allison Williams for having your own cover and making the Elle Women of TV Issue an interesting read!

I'm so happy to blog about this. The First Lady Michelle Obama looks absolutely stunning on the cover of the Ladies Home Journal.

The First Lady has a whole editorial about Christmas in the White House and the traditions that they have. She also has an article about her Let's Move Campaign to end childhood obesity and her rules of thumb in her home about exercise and healthy living. I thought it was really cool and couldn't pass up posting in my blog.

Here's a snippet of the Christmas at the White House interview:
SO MANY FIRST FAMILIES HAVE MADE THEIR IMPACT ON HOLIDAY TRADITIONS AT THE WHITE HOUSE. WHAT WILL THE OBAMAS' LEGACY BE?
Michelle Obama: I hope that it's a legacy of inclusion. We try to invite choirs from all over the country to come and sing and entertain. Congress comes and important famous people come. But I'm also thinking about a little kid from Kansas who is able to make the trip to see the house. We have a reception almost twice a day, every day, until December 21. That means hors d'oeuvres and eggnog and cookies for every guest who comes through. The house smells incredible for an entire month.
DO ALL THOSE HOLIDAY TREATS MEAN EXTRA GYM TIME FOR YOU?
Oh yeah! But the President and I are usually working. We're in a receiving line or a photo line, greeting people, so fortunately there's very little time for us to eat.

Here's a snippet of the Healthy Living/Let's Move Campaign interview:
SL: Is there a healthy food that you just can't eat or the girls won't eat?
MO: There are tons of them.
SL: What's your worst nightmare?
MO: Beets. I am a believer that there is a beet gene. People who love beets love them and people who hate beets can't stand them. Neither the President nor I have the beet gene. And there are a lot of healthy things my kids don't like. But our rule is, you've got to finish your vegetables. And if somebody says, "I'm full," then it's like, "Okay. If you're full, you're done. But you have to finish your vegetables, and don't ask for dessert." Because if you're full, you're full. You can't be full just for the healthy stuff. That's the joke in our household. . . .
The truth is, some of the flavors in vegetables are harsh for young kids. But if they don't start getting them, their palates won't change. . . . Recently I was on a sort of cleanse and I was just eating vegetables.

I FREAKING LOVE KATY PERRY!

I have to admit the first song I heard by her was I Kissed a Girl. I wasn't feeling it and to be honest I thought it was stupid. But I said okay you know what listen to the entire cd and then make the decision on whether you like Katy Perry. And after listening to One of the Boys all the way through I have to admit I was sleeping on Katy! She's Awesome and then Teenage Dream came out and I just fell in love with her music. She's awesome and I'm currently enjoying Prism as much as her other albums.

But anywho Katy's on the cover of W Magazine this month! Pretty awesome right?! W Magazine is a premiere fashion magazine. One of the top Editorial type spread magazines in the world. Katy looks great on the cover and in her photo shoot. She's just a gorgeous woman and can be edgy/avant garde and then transform into the girl next door that everyone covets. Can't wait till to find out if she's on tour in my town yet! Cause I'm going to her concert!

Listen to and Read Katy's Interview via WMagazine.com. She speaks on the aftermath of her marriage, John Mayer, Prism and more!

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are both featured on the cover of Allure this month. The feature on the two billionaires is about the misconceptions people have about them, the newest journey they are embarking on and some of their labels that they making sure their fans and people know are long gone!

These two covers are stunning! I've been a fan of these two women for a long time. I love their fashion line The Row. They recently won an award for it and I'm really happy for their success in fashion and wish them much more. The Row is a minimalist style line. Clean lines, minimal colors but its done in a really cool way. I can't afford or wear the line but its nice to look at, I can say that lol.

Anyway pick up your copy of Allure magazine and read up on the Olsen Twins. Anyway Congrats ladies. The world awaits your newest creations in the fashion world!

Kendrick Lamar is arguably the number one rapper in the world right now. His album good kid, m.A.A.d city one of the top hip hop albums of the year and is a sure fire grammy contender. If he isn't overshadowing someone as a feature on their song, he's putting out his own music that literally stomps on the competition. Kendrick Lamar is a breath of fresh air on the hip hop scene. His music is new and different with an added reminder of old school rap. As a major fan of Kendrick Lamar I can say that I love his music and I'm glad that he received the rapper of the year award from GQ.

In this GQ magazine article written by Mr. Steve Marsh (@stephenhero) he explains how Kendrick had scheduled an interview with him for a different time but it was thwarted by Kendrick. No one could reach him. Kendrick recently lost a friend that he considered a brother (I send my deepest and sincerest apologies for your loss, Kendrick and my condolences go out to the family for their loss.) in a drive by shooting not far from his childhood home. It devastated him and needed a moment to himself so he went AWOL. No phones, no nothing just time to himself. So the interview was moved to the jet where was he flying to New York fashion week to perform. Read the article its a really good read into the insight of Kendrick Lamar and how he operates, here's the link: GQ Magazine.

In the article Kendrick seems unphased by the glitz and glamour of his lifestyle and his career. They discussed everything from the growing popularity of his hit album good kid, m.A.A.d city to his one sided beef with Drake. All in all Kendrick is just a nerdy kid from Compton. Thrust into a world in which he fully understands has temptation at every corner, to which he CHOOSES to not partake in. I respect Kendrick for that!

So long story short Big Ups to Kendrick on his GQ accolade as Rapper of the Year and I hope this is the start of many awards coming your way. Can't wait for the next album and again Congrats!

Justin Timberlake is one of GQ's Men of the Year! But in light of the wonderful honor by the biggest men's fashion magazine in the world Justin's not too happy. The reviews from Runner Runner and the The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2 via Variety and Billboard have been released and lets just say they weren't too happy. Here's what they said, well a snippet:

Variety wrote an article reviewing the movie titled,
“Why Justin Timberlake Should Stop Acting.”
Then Billboard reviewed the second half of Justin's 20/20 experience and they weren't kind either. In the review they said:
Tell him to leave his second half at home.
Justin was noticeably upset and hurt by the reviews of his latest projects during his interview with GQ. But he took a deep breath and continued on he calmed down. If you would like to read the interview pick up a copy of GQ Magazine (I have subscription and I gotta say its AWESOME) or click here!

Much love to Justin Timberlake. He's an awesome artist and a good actor. Don't let one review get you down. Do you realize you have taken over music and this is only your 3rd studio album? Who does that? The command that you have is amazing. Revel in your talent and the love that your fans give. Don't focus on the hatred, because it can drive you mad.

Keep ya head up Justin and Congrats on the honors via GQ!

Lady Gaga is probably one of the most unconventional artists in the world. And she's undoubtedly captured the attention of millions of people! She is one of the most sought after artists in the world and now she covers Glamour Magazine!

Inside the magazine Lady Gaga discusses her type of beauty and how she understands and embraces her unconventional looks. Here's a snippet of the interview via Glamour by Andy Cohen:

ANDY COHEN: Where do you get your confidence? Because I think that’s something all the Women of the Year have in common.

LADY GAGA: It depends on what it is we’re talking about. I’m really confident about my music because I love it.
AC: But you’re confident in your presentation. You’ve been wearing that shell bikini and a teeny little miniskirt lately.
LG: Yeah. I’m confident in who I am. I’ve come to a place in my life where I’ve accepted things that are me, as opposed to feeling pressure to explain myself to people around me. That’s just the way I’ve always tried to be. It didn’t change when I became a star.
AC: But do you consider yourself to be beautiful?
LG: Not conventionally beautiful. If there was some sort of mathematical equation for beauty, I don’t know if I would be the algorithm. I’ve always been OK with that. I’m not a supermodel. That’s not what I do. What I do is music. I want my fans to feel the way I do, to know what they have to offer is just as important, more important, than what’s happening on the outside.
