One of my fave people in the whole wide world is getting married or at least in the beginning stages of the marriage process. Rapper Eve is engaged to her longtime boyfriend Maximillion Cooper got engaged on Christmas. Eve has been spotted wearing a rather large diamond ring and on her instagram she's been getting a ton of congratulations messages and support. According to Essence online she and her family spent the Holidays in London with Maximillion and his family  If you're not too sure on who max is, well he's a billionaire enough said LOL! Maximillion is a motorsports mogul and has four children from a previous marriage.

Congratulations Eve! I've always been big fan of yours and I'm glad that you are happy in love and walking down the aisle. Again Congrats and GOOD LUCK!

Check out her ring picture below!

Dahling Nicki is making her film debut and its along some of the big dogs in Hollywood. Nicki is starring alongside Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton and Leslie Mann in a movie called The Other Woman. The movie is about a wife and two of her husband's mistresses coming together together to expose him for the lying cheating dog he is. Nicki's part is pretty simple. She's the assistant to Cameron Diaz. She has a pretty clean cut role but knowing Nicki Minaj she is not taking that lightly.

Nicki Minaj went to LaGuardia High School, which specializes in music and the visual and performing arts and she was even cast in an Off-Broadway play after high school. Which in the acting world is pretty damn good. Even though most of her fans know her as the sexy, boisterous, rapper she is a all around entertainer. This is not the first time Nicki Minaj has acted in a movie. She has also had a role in the last installment in the animated Ice Age Franchise.

When you take a look at the trailer you'll see she still looks like Nicki and she's playing her part very well. I'm glad that Nicki is branching out into new things and becoming more than just a sex symbol and a rapper. Nicki is very appreciative of her fans and she has a heart of gold. I really like Nicki Minaj and I think given time to grow she can turn into a triple threat: Music, Film, and Fashion. All she needs is little a grooming and she'll be good to go. She's already began the transformation: toning down the look. Becoming more fashionable instead of outlandish and playful. She's evolved and learned that you can be outlandish and playful with your style but within reason.

So congrats Ms. Nicki Minaj on your new role and I wish you nothing but the best of luck in your new venture!

BTW: I have Nicki Minaj's perfume Minajesty and its AWESOME I got it for my 27th birthday!

Well as her STANS and FANS call her Mother Beyonce (LMAO) has dropped her new album and the internet blew up with cries of salvation. YASSS Mother YASSS they cried as her new self titled album Beyonce was released under hush tones on December 13 at midnight.

I think the concept of the album was cool. She released what she called a Visual Album. Half music, half videos. The songs on the album seem to be captivating the world but its Beyonce, she could put out an album about rotten toe nail clippings and people would buy it. But I digress. As of right now I have only seen one video that was a remake or cover of one of Beyonce's songs on her album. A group of young ladies have put out a video on the mecca of the internet YouTube covering Beyonce's Yonce Video. I have a feeling this is just the beginning and soon Mother's children will be flooding the earth with cries of her songs. LOL I can't wait, let the Parodies, Covers, Remakes, and Video Compilations BEGIN DAHLING! Sing Children Sing! LOL

Every time I see a new video remaking, parodying, covering, or what have you I will be posting them under this blog so stay tuned for updates! But for now without further ado here is the first of them that I could find via AfricanoBoi's Facebook Page:

Washed up former MTV reality star Tila Tequila has done the most in the last couple of days. Well judging by the picture above you can imagine where this post is going.

Tila Tequila posted some ignorant yet bizarre posts about Hitler on her blog. She even compared herself to him and how he was ostracized by the people of (the religion) Judaism. I'll let you read what she said via GossipCop:
“Once upon a time in a land far away there was a special and sweet kid who had a dream to become a painter. He was a brilliant artist and was ahead of his time. He had hopes, and dreams just like we all do.”
“Unfortunately, the art schools did not feel the same as he and they rejected him. Fast forward a few years later he was roughed up and bullied on top of that by the same people he once loved. His Name was Hitler,” she adds.
The former “Shot at Love” star then relates herself to Hitler, saying that after she converted to Judaism last year, “[The Jews] mocked her, rejected her and laughed at her through and through when all she ever did was show them her love.”
Tila Tequila continued posting crazy crap like this and even insinuated on Sunday evening that the late Paul Walker was murdered. All these posts including her Nazi themed pictured were removed.

Melissa Cooper and Christopher Ned Kelley

HA! Get Yo Self Together!!!!!! ITS REAL OUT HERE IN THESE STREETS! LOL!

Well Christopher Ned Kelley is probably single and DEAD ASS Broke! Mr. Kelley decided to break off a 10 year relationship with his fiancee Melissa Cooper after cheating on her for the majority of their relationship. She was devastated but she hit him where it hurts, his POCKET. She filed a lawsuit suing her ex-fiancee in a Georgia court and WON!

Melissa Cooper and Christopher Ned Kelley became engaged on December 23, 2004. They had been living together since 2000 and Melissa was also the mother of his child. She left her job to become a stay-at-home mom, per Mr. Kelley's request (BTW: Why does it sound dirty to call him Mr. Kelley? LOL its just funny to me!). Shortly after the proposal Melissa finds out about Christopher's 2 year relationship with another woman that had begun 3 months before he proposed to her. They had a confrontation about it and he promised her he would never cheat again, he would end the relationship with his mistress, and he promised that they would get married for sure. Melissa took him back and for a short while all is well, until April of 2011. In April Melissa found out about another secret relationship with a different woman. This time Mr. Kelley decided to leave Melissa and even told her that she and the kids needed to move out.

Melissa was fed up at that point. She went to a lawyer and filed a lawsuit in Coweta County Superior Court. She included fraud, breach of contract to marry, and other claims against Mr. Kelley.

During the trial it was learned that inspite of Mr. Kelley's infidelities Melissa also cheated. Christopher Kelley's defense was simple, he claims he never actually said the words "Will you marry me?". Here's what some of the court filings state:
“I never initiated the concept of marriage with her, outside of giving her that ring,”
“We never had very many discussions around marriage. I personally never initiated any conversations around marriage,”
Throughout the trial Kelley was asked about his infidelities 3 months before and after the supposed proposal and here's his answer:
“It's possible. Throughout our ten-year relationship, there will be very emotional times and you will do things that doesn’t necessarily represent, you know, the actuality of life,” he said in court, the document states.
SMDH
Ultimately the judge ruled in Melissa Cooper's favor. The judge awarded her with $43,500 and $6,500 in attorney's fees. Christopher Kelley appealed the court's decision, claiming that his promise to marry was a part of meretricious relationship and therefore not enforceable ”
(BTW: If you're not familiar with the word meretricious here's a definition: apparently attractive but having in reality no value or integrity i.e. characteristic of a prostitute.) basically calling her a glorified hoe with benefits. Even with Mr. Kelley's appalling words and actions, the Appellate Court still upheld the decision of the original court.

Melissa Cooper's attorney was very vocal about the law and the states the need to re-enact common law marriage:
“By law the marriage doesn’t exist, but for practical purposes, it’s a marriage,” Smith said. “They were together for 10 years. They acquired property together.”
Melissa plans to purchase a home for herself and her two children with part of her settlement. Melissa has primary physical custody over their child and he pays her child support.

I'm so happy to blog about this. The First Lady Michelle Obama looks absolutely stunning on the cover of the Ladies Home Journal.

The First Lady has a whole editorial about Christmas in the White House and the traditions that they have. She also has an article about her Let's Move Campaign to end childhood obesity and her rules of thumb in her home about exercise and healthy living. I thought it was really cool and couldn't pass up posting in my blog.

Here's a snippet of the Christmas at the White House interview:
SO MANY FIRST FAMILIES HAVE MADE THEIR IMPACT ON HOLIDAY TRADITIONS AT THE WHITE HOUSE. WHAT WILL THE OBAMAS' LEGACY BE?
Michelle Obama: I hope that it's a legacy of inclusion. We try to invite choirs from all over the country to come and sing and entertain. Congress comes and important famous people come. But I'm also thinking about a little kid from Kansas who is able to make the trip to see the house. We have a reception almost twice a day, every day, until December 21. That means hors d'oeuvres and eggnog and cookies for every guest who comes through. The house smells incredible for an entire month.
DO ALL THOSE HOLIDAY TREATS MEAN EXTRA GYM TIME FOR YOU?
Oh yeah! But the President and I are usually working. We're in a receiving line or a photo line, greeting people, so fortunately there's very little time for us to eat.

Click here ------> LadiesHomeJournal to read the entire article

Here's a snippet of the Healthy Living/Let's Move Campaign interview:
SL: Is there a healthy food that you just can't eat or the girls won't eat?
MO: There are tons of them.
SL: What's your worst nightmare?
MO: Beets. I am a believer that there is a beet gene. People who love beets love them and people who hate beets can't stand them. Neither the President nor I have the beet gene. And there are a lot of healthy things my kids don't like. But our rule is, you've got to finish your vegetables. And if somebody says, "I'm full," then it's like, "Okay. If you're full, you're done. But you have to finish your vegetables, and don't ask for dessert." Because if you're full, you're full. You can't be full just for the healthy stuff. That's the joke in our household. . . .
The truth is, some of the flavors in vegetables are harsh for young kids. But if they don't start getting them, their palates won't change. . . . Recently I was on a sort of cleanse and I was just eating vegetables.

Nelson Mandela was a public figure, activist, and the first Black president of South Africa. He has been portrayed over 13 times in Hollywood over the course of his life. The most recent portrayal of President Mandela was by famed actor Idris Elba in The Weinstein Co. biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, based on his 1995 autobiography. President Mandela had been suffering from a lung infection and was hospitalized for 3 months until he was discharged on September 1, 2013. President Mandela held on for quite some time but died Thursday at his home in Johannesburg.

He was a strong activist in eradicating apartheid, the racial segregation of South Africa. Sparking global interest in the racial struggle of the South African people. Public figures like Harry Belafonte, Marlon Brando, Peter Gabriel, Miles Davis, Joe Cocker, Sting, Phil Collins and Whitney Houston all threw their hats in the ring to help bring awareness to the growing problem of apartheid amongst the South African people. Mandela was instrumental in the struggle even after being arrested in 1962 for inciting a strike and was sent to prison for 5 years. 2 years after his imprisonment Mandela and 10 others were sentenced to Life in Prison. After a series of moving speeches and the arousal of the entire world protesting his oppression, Nelson Mandela was set free in 1990. He was later elected to office where he served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He served one term. Mandela decided to leave politics after that but remained a strong public figure all over the world. He was a true hero and proof that one person can make a difference.

Rest in Peace Nelson Mandela. I hope you're smiling down in heaven right now. I found great quotes by Nelson Mandela. Its amazing that he was able to be strong enough to really forgive and fight for what he believed in. When you think about everything he went through just for the betterment of his country and people it makes the problems that we all complain about minuscule in comparison.  I really think these quotes will help everyone have different perspective on life. Former doctor to the late great Michael Jackson, Conrad Murray is making headlines for his bizarre and very creepy interview with the DailyMail.com. According to TMZ in an interview with the DailyMail Conrad Murray spoke on his "close" relationship with Michael. He was being questioned on how close he was to the famed singer and his answer was shocking to say the least. He claimed that he used to hold Michael's penis to insert a catheter. He continues his explanation by telling the DailyMail how Michael didn't know how to use a condom and how he had to put it on for him. Conrad Murray also gave some insight to Debbie Rowe, the paternity of Michael's children, and the suspicious nature of Michael's death. Here's what he said verbatim via TMZ:

"You want to know how close we were? I held his penis every night to fit a catheter      because he was incontinent at night."
"Michael didn't know how to put a condom on, so I had to do it for him."
He goes on to insinuate how he felt like Michael killed himself. Saying:
"I believe he woke up, got hold of his own stash of Propofol and injected himself. He did it too quickly and went into cardiac arrest."
And, Murray suggests that MJ's kids have 3 different fathers, and Michael isn't one of them. Murray says,
"Michael told me he never slept with Debbie Rowe."
Murray suggests Michael predicted he would die on Murray's watch. He says MJ once looked at him and said,
"You know, for the rest of your life and my life our names will become inseparable.
Murray says MJ smiled and said,
"I am clairvoyant." Read more: TMZ

This interview was conducted by the DailyMail and it was seriously weird. I'm sorry but never in my life have I seen this kind of disrespect for the dead, his children and his family. This is just sad. I swear I couldn't believe it when I read this story. If I were a doctor I would definitely not be talking about my patients in the way Conrad Murray has been speaking. Even though your in the public eye. Keep your mouth shut and let Michael rest in peace. Lord have mercy even in death the man is troubled. Its sad that people would exploit a dead man. The media, his family with this on going lawsuit, Conrad Murray, all of you need to just stop. Let it go and let him rest. He was troubled while he was living and he's troubled in death.

I hope Conrad Murray goes away and crawls in a hole somewhere. Too much drama. Some things are best kept to yourself. Seriously there was no reason for this stupid interview. Conrad Murray your an idiot and I feel bad for you and children. Go live your life and leave Michael alone. Turn down any and all interviews and just pull yourself together. #andimthrough

A couple weeks ago I showed you guys the one of the covers of GQ magazine with Kendrick Lamar receiving the Rapper of the Year Award. You would think he would be happy right? Well you would be WRONG! Kendrick and TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment) are not happy with the article that was written about Kendrick at all. They were offended and felt as though the article had racial overtones.

Steve Marsh the articles author painted a vivid picture of Kendrick being a very disciplined, dedicated rapper plagued by real world issues. And at his a core a grounded down to earth individual putting his stamp on in the world of hip hop. But TDE CEO Anthony Tiffith doesn't see it that way here's what he thinks via theGrio:
“Marsh’s story was more focused on what most people would see as drama or BS. To say he was ‘surprised at our discipline’ is completely disrespectful. Instead of putting emphasis on the good that TDE has done for west coast music, and for hip-hop as a whole, he spoke on what most people would consider what's wrong with hip-hop music. Furthermore, Kendrick deserved to be accurately documented,”
TDE felt as though the article had racial overtones and were very offended at the way he and his labelmates were depicted. So when the magazine had their release party Kendrick Lamar declined to attend and perform.

Naturally GQ was very disappointed and were extremely sad at the fact that Kendrick and his label TDE were offended by the article. Jim Nielsen doesn't feel like the article was offensive at all. Here's his statement in response to the criticism and TDE's statement via theGrio:
“Kendrick Lamar is one of the most talented new musicians to arrive on the scene in years. That’s the reason we chose to celebrate him, wrote an incredibly positive article declaring him the next King of Rap, and gave him our highest honor: putting him on the cover of our Men of the Year issue. I’m not sure how you can spin that into a bad thing, and I encourage anyone interested to read the story and see for themselves. We were mystified and sorely disappointed by Top Dawg’s decision to pull him at the last minute from the performance he had promised to give. The real shame is that people were deprived of the joy of seeing Kendrick perform live. I’m still a huge fan.”
GQ and Kendrick are at a stand still. Currently they have no reason to cross paths again. But I'm sure it will happen. However I'm curious as to how the author of the article Mr. Steve Marsh feels about his work being criticized? Everyone has answered TDE's response to the article since its publish except him. I wonder...

First off I believe that article was genuine and it did paint Kendrick Lamar in a good light. But I can also agree that the article was focused on the things that are wrong with hip hop. Things Mr. Marsh was expecting but didn't get. Drama - Beef with Drake (fizzled when Kendrick thwarted the convo about it), Women and Money (only came up in conversation once about how unfazed Kendrick was with it), and lastly Drugs and Booze (it was mentioned several times that Kendrick does not partake in the dramatics of these drugs). Kendrick is a focused man and so are his colleagues and labelmates. Their craft is whats important and they will not let any temptation get in the way of that. That's what I got out of the article. And the fact that even with his success and fame he's still Kendrick. A young man that is changing the game of hip hop into a competitive lyrical playground. Forcing his peers around him to adjust and step up to the plate or bow out gracefully. That's what I got out of the article.

Hip hop is viewed as a sex filled, money grubbing, drug popping melting pot because that's how it's depicted. Since hip hop is majority African American, the article could be deemed as having racial overtones. Cause I guarantee if the article was written about Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Mac Miller, or Machine Gun Kelly the conversation probably would've went a little differently. But I can say that I think article didn't do any damage to Kendrick if anything the article gave a fan a glimpse into Kendrick's mindset as well as TDE's mindset. How he views himself in the industry and as a person. Ultimately it was Kendrick's decision to either support to boycott the article. He decided to boycott. He stood up for what he believed and you can't fault him for that.

In Chester, VA Dwayne Parsons is probably breathing a sigh of relief and anger. You see he had a child with his then girlfriend Juanita Saunders, she put him on child support and now he owes the state money for back child support. He was paying $200 a month in child support payments. Then when a DNA test proved that he was not the child's father the rules of the game changed. Because Dwayne put his name on the child's birth certificate it means that legally he is that child's father responsible for the debt accumulated. So he is bound by law to pay for the back child support. The judge himself even said in court that the law is unfair. But to make it easier on Parsons and because he still had to pay restitution, the judge ordered Parsons to pay $1 a month for 1,917 years. Wow! Anyway Parsons seems to be in good spirits. He was glad that in court it was proven he was not the child's father and he was glad that the judge sided with him.

Here's his statement to the media:
"Unfortunately the law is the law, my message to everybody is if you're unsure, about you being the father of the child, do not sign that birth certificate - that's a well lesson learned,"
"It didn't go exactly all the way I wanted to go, but I'm satisfied with the decision,"
Parsons ex-baby mama Juanita Saunders had no statement, except for the same chicken head statement women give when they've been put on blast and caught:
"I'm good, I'm good, I take care of mine, I'm good, I just took care of her for 13 years I don't need anyone to take care of her, I'm good,"
Oh Juanita, SMDH. Anyway Parsons wants the money that he paid in child support back and he plans to sue Juanita to get it.

No the title of this blog is not wrong and you do not need to rub your eyes. This guy Alan Markovitz bought a house DIRECTLY next door to his ex-wife and placed a bronze middle finger statue in the backyard facing her house! Crazy right? Then he goes a step further to ensure that statue is always seen from her house (even at night) he lights the statue up with a big broad spotlight.

Who is Alan Markovitz? Well he's the owner of some of Detroit's most popular Gentleman's Clubs and he's an accomplished author of the book entitled:  Topless Prophet: The True Story of America's Most Successful Gentleman's Club Entrepreneur. Which is going to be turned into a Cinemax series in the near future.

But why? Why put this statue in the yard and go through all this trouble? Should be some of the questions on everybody's mind at this moment. Well read the article below via GAWKER that should explain his bitterness:
Markovitz has a 17-year-old daughter from a previous relationship who lives with him. He was married for two years to a woman he met at a friend's birthday party at an Auburn Hills restaurant. But they recently divorced. He said his wife, a native of Slovakia, was cheating on him with someone he knew. She moved in with the guy two days after moving out of the house.
"He broke the Man Code. He’s a total freakin’ asshole,” Markovitz says. “Real men don’t do that to another guy."

Well there you have it.  I guess now your wonder who this woman is....Well I'll tell you! Her name is Lenka Tuohy. And she posted the pics on Twitter. I saw her tweets on GAWKER's site but her tweets have since been protected. I guess after her pictures have gone viral she didn't want anyone having access to her personal twitter. Understandable. Either way it seems Tuohy was casting her rod in too many ponds. But to be so callous as to cheat with someone her husband knew and was obviously close to. And then move into his house afterwards is the stupidest thing I've ever heard but its not unfamiliar. This happens all the time and it NEVER works out.

 Ladies and Gents take note:

1- In relationships Karma is a BITCH! Whatever kind of hell you put into a relationship expect it to come back on you 10 fold! If you know you can't take the pain and heartache your causing then why would you put that on someone you love or like?
2- You lose them how you get them. Its a FACT. Never build a relationship on shaky ground. Make sure your relationship is built on a foundation of truth and trust. If a man is willing to sleep with you while in a relationship it doesn't speak much for his character and what he's about. Now don't get me wrong not all men who do this are bad people its just when you are willing to put your morals aside then what are you willing to do for the sake of saying you have someone. It sounds like you are very insecure and need some serious help.
3- Trust is Key! If you want any peace and tranquility in your relationship you have to have trust.

Anyway I think the statue is a little childish but its absolutely HILARIOUS! I'm sure after he gets over the initial shock of the way she left he'll take down the statue or move away. Other than it is what it is. But instead of putting up the statue he could have just put her on Shesahomewrecker.com! LOL I'm so messy!

Here's the question I pose:

Would you spend the money on a memento to torment or to tell off your spouse after they hurt you? Would it be worth it? Why?

I FREAKING LOVE KATY PERRY!

I have to admit the first song I heard by her was I Kissed a Girl. I wasn't feeling it and to be honest I thought it was stupid. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are both featured on the cover of Allure this month. The feature on the two billionaires is about the misconceptions people have about them, the newest journey they are embarking on and some of their labels that they making sure their fans and people know are long gone!

These two covers are stunning! I've been a fan of these two women for a long time. I love their fashion line The Row. They recently won an award for it and I'm really happy for their success in fashion and wish them much more. The Row is a minimalist style line. Clean lines, minimal colors but its done in a really cool way. I can't afford or wear the line but its nice to look at, I can say that lol.

Anyway pick up your copy of Allure magazine and read up on the Olsen Twins. Anyway Congrats ladies. The world awaits your newest creations in the fashion world!

Jennifer Lawrence one of my favorite actresses. I love her strong attitude and her normal outlook on life. She's not phased by the glitz and glamour and you gotta love that about her. She has been in the news lately because of some of the things has to say about the evils of Hollywood. Jennifer is on tour doing promotional appearances and premiering Catching Fire the second installment to the box office smash The Hunger Games. Recently she sat down with the BBC's News and gave in depth interview with Zoe Conway about some of the issues plaguing Hollywood here are some of the quotes of what she said:

When asked about the sexualization of young women like Miley Cyrus in Hollywood she responded:
“It is a part of the entertainment industry that sells."
"For some disgusting reason, young sex sells even more. It's not really something that I worry about because I feel like everybody's kind of got their own path."
"They have their own way of finding themselves and for some people that's how they feel best, that's how they feel sexy, that's how they want to perform.
Moving on to her role as Katniss and how she realizes she's a role model to many young girls:
"Growing up I didn't have a female hero the way that Katniss is, I think she's a wonderful role model for young girls. I'm happy that they have a character like that."

Kendrick Lamar is arguably the number one rapper in the world right now. His album good kid, m.A.A.d city one of the top hip hop albums of the year and is a sure fire grammy contender. If he isn't overshadowing someone as a feature on their song, he's putting out his own music that literally stomps on the competition. Kendrick Lamar is a breath of fresh air on the hip hop scene. His music is new and different with an added reminder of old school rap. As a major fan of Kendrick Lamar I can say that I love his music and I'm glad that he received the rapper of the year award from GQ.

In this GQ magazine article written by Mr. Steve Marsh (@stephenhero) he explains how Kendrick had scheduled an interview with him for a different time but it was thwarted by Kendrick. No one could reach him. Kendrick recently lost a friend that he considered a brother (I send my deepest and sincerest apologies for your loss, Kendrick and my condolences go out to the family for their loss.) in a drive by shooting not far from his childhood home. It devastated him and needed a moment to himself so he went AWOL. No phones, no nothing just time to himself. So the interview was moved to the jet where was he flying to New York fashion week to perform. Read the article its a really good read into the insight of Kendrick Lamar and how he operates, here's the link: GQ Magazine.

In the article Kendrick seems unphased by the glitz and glamour of his lifestyle and his career. They discussed everything from the growing popularity of his hit album good kid, m.A.A.d city to his one sided beef with Drake. All in all Kendrick is just a nerdy kid from Compton. Thrust into a world in which he fully understands has temptation at every corner, to which he CHOOSES to not partake in. I respect Kendrick for that!

So long story short Big Ups to Kendrick on his GQ accolade as Rapper of the Year and I hope this is the start of many awards coming your way. Can't wait for the next album and again Congrats!

Justin Timberlake is one of GQ's Men of the Year! But in light of the wonderful honor by the biggest men's fashion magazine in the world Justin's not too happy. The reviews from Runner Runner and the The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2 via Variety and Billboard have been released and lets just say they weren't too happy. Here's what they said, well a snippet:

Variety wrote an article reviewing the movie titled,
“Why Justin Timberlake Should Stop Acting.”
Then Billboard reviewed the second half of Justin's 20/20 experience and they weren't kind either. In the review they said:
Tell him to leave his second half at home.
Justin was noticeably upset and hurt by the reviews of his latest projects during his interview with GQ. But he took a deep breath and continued on he calmed down. If you would like to read the interview pick up a copy of GQ Magazine (I have subscription and I gotta say its AWESOME) or click here!

Much love to Justin Timberlake. He's an awesome artist and a good actor. Don't let one review get you down. Do you realize you have taken over music and this is only your 3rd studio album? Who does that? The command that you have is amazing. Revel in your talent and the love that your fans give. Don't focus on the hatred, because it can drive you mad.

Keep ya head up Justin and Congrats on the honors via GQ!

If you haven't heard recently there were 2 story's on the huffington post about a young man and young woman being arrested and harassed at Barneys New York after purchasing a $400 belt and a $2500 purse. The kid made the purchase and then allegedly a sales clerk called the police and said they believed the purchase was fraudulent. 2 undercover police officers approached the kid made a statement to the effect of "How does a young black kid like yourself afford to make such an expensive purchase?" Then the kid was then hauled off to the local precinct, even after he showed identification, his debit card, and the receipt. The young woman went into Barneys made her purchase and then was accosted in the stairwell of the subway system several blocks away by 5 undercover police officers. Currently there are 3 lawsuits pending against the New York Police Department and Barney's of New York (the 3rd involves actor Rob Brown and his experience at Macys. Same situation, same response, different store.).

As soon as these stories broke JAY Z became a target for people to attack. Apparently JAY Z has a relationship with Barneys and they plan on launching a collection specifically for their store and more importantly the proceeds go to his scholarship fund for underprivileged kids. Its a great idea for a good cause. None, I REPEAT NONE OF THE MONIES GAINED FROM THE COLLECTION GO TO JAY Z HIMSELF. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND! But even that wasn't enough to quiet the masses. People were in a uproar and wanted JAY Z to immediately sever his ties with Barneys. It took JAY Z awhile to respond to his critics but he did release a statement saying the following:

This collaboration lives in a place of giving and is about the Foundation. I am not making a dime from this collection; I do not stand to make millions, as falsely reported. I need to make that fact crystal clear. The Shawn Carter Foundation is the beneficiary and the foundation is receiving 25% of all sales from the collaboration, 10% of all sales generated in the store on November 20th and an additional donation from Barneys. This money is going to help individuals facing socio-economic hardships to help further their education at institutions of higher learning. My idea was born out of creativity and charity… not profit.
I move and speak based on facts and not emotion. I haven’t made any comments because I am waiting on facts and the outcome of a meeting between community leaders and Barneys. Why am I being demonized, denounced and thrown on the cover of a newspaper for not speaking immediately? The negligent, erroneous reports and attacks on my character, intentions, and the spirit of this collaboration have forced me into a statement I didn’t want to make without the full facts. Making a decision prematurely to pull out of this project, wouldn’t hurt Barneys or Shawn Carter, but all the people that stand a chance at higher education. I have been working with my team ever since the situation was brought to my attention to get to the bottom of these incidents and at the same time find a solution that doesn’t harm all those that stand to benefit from this collaboration.
I am against discrimination of any kind, but if I make snap judgements, no matter who it’s towards, aren’t I committing the same sin as someone who profiles? I am no stranger to being profiled and I truly empathize with anyone that has been put in that position. Hopefully this brings forth a dialogue to effect real change.

This statement has fallen on deaf ears and people are not happy with his response. He's set to still release his collection in Barneys. Sales will speak as to how people feel. Personally I would've released a collection in like Kohls or Kmart or TJ Maxx. Somewhere that everybody can access. Most middle class citizens are not shopping at Barneys of New York, #imjussaying.
