I'm going to be 100% honest with you. I was never interested in Azealia Banks, her feuds, or her music. Thats not shade by the way thats just real. I'm not really interested in this feud either but I was asked to do this blog so I will do it. I follow several pages on Facebook: Jarrett Scott Page , Iamjarrett, Pineapple Dadon, MadameNoire, StraightFromTheA, etc. All are reporting on the Instagram/Twitter war between T.I., Tiny, and Azealia Banks. Here's how it started:
T.I. released a song its called Mediocre featuring Iggy Azalea (another artist to suffer the wrath of Azealia Banks). When Banks heard the song she tweeted this:
She has since deleted the tweet but you know bloggers and the media alike were going to find evidence of the tweet. Nothing is ever truly erased on the internet. Yall know that!
Anyway T.I. was alerted to the tweet during his sit down with MTVNews about his new song Mediocre.
And here's his response in the politically correct form via MTVNews:
And Here's the response that was NOT so politically correct:
Basically they got into a pissing match that went back and forth. And since I am operating off of second hand information I can neither confirm nor deny how the tit for tat went down. All I know is the ish-got real, real FAST! Check out these series of tweets from Banks:
Tiny got in on the squabble with this Instagram response:
And there you have it!
Yes the world has freedom of speech and you should be able to say what you want. But there are rules to this freedom of speech too. You should not use your mediocre celebrity status to talk about other celebrities to garner more focus on you. That is trifling.
There is no way on gods green earth that a man should let anyone man woman or child disrespect his wife. He would be less of a man if he didn't say anything. I think he might've gone overboard but she kept going after that. And then commenced to delete every message. Sorry but everything you posted is out there. And everybody in the world has seen or heard this mess you've started. Why did you even have to comment on something that had nothing to do with you. It was completely out of your zone and you just bogarded your way in to insure your name would be all over the place.
Azealia Banks has many celebrity beefs over her mouth: Pharrell, Design House Dolce and Gabbana, Iggy Azalea, T.I. (Again), Kreayshawn, Lil Kim, Troy Carter, Nicki Minaj, Dominique Young Unique, Jim Jones, Funkmaster Flex, Angel Haze, & Perez Hilton. Just name a few!
Pharrell
Pharrell worked on Banks song ATM Jam (I track I just heard and was not impressed with). She claimed the reason why the song did poorly was because Pharrell got some of his fame back and didn't want to work with her anymore. I cleaned it up a bit but if you want to know her exact words peep game: "The reason ATM jam did poorly is because pharrell changed his mind about wanting to be associated with me after he had his lite skin comeback."
Dolce & Gabbana
Well apparently Dolce and Gabbana created a fashion line that featured offensive african american images that Banks couldn't get behind. She took to twitter (which is her go to place) to voice her disdain: "Whoever designed that racist a-- Dolce and Gabanna collection needs a swift kick in the mouth and a big d--k up the a--," Banks tweeted. "I really hate when people do corny, racist things then try to justify it as 'art.' It's all just really unnecessary. The clothes in the collection were fine without all the 'black mammie' imagery."
Iggy Azalea
In 2011 Banks popped off on twitter about Iggy. But once Iggy landed the cover of XXL Magazine (the first female to ever do it), Banks decided to go after XXL Magazine and Iggy Azalea for the "Runaway Slave Master" lyric on a song on her mixtape Ignorant Art. Iggy has apologized for the lyric and still insists she has no issue with Banks.
T.I. (The 1st Time)
When T.I. decided to defend his artist during a radio interview, Banks took to twitter again to voice her opinion on the matter: "Come on T.I.... N----s is not scared of u and whatever s--t u got to say on some radio show... you corny for that one." T.I. clapped back by calling her behavior B**** S***. He went a step further and said: "You don't even have any business addressin' me... Get your man to address me. If you've got a man, get him to address me and he and I can speak on it."
Kreayshawn
This beef is probably the dumbest beef of them all. Both of these women have a video called 212. Kreayshawn retweeted a link to Banks' 212 video which happened to be uploaded to Pornhun a porn site. When Banks saw the retweet she went nuts! Check it: “You think you're funny? You’re a dumb b---h. And you can't rap...This is how b---hes wanna start the new year ? They want their mics ate this early?" Kreayshawn was as cool as a cucumber though here's how she responded: "Come on you mad because I retweeted your link? Because I like your music? Pffff get outta here! Not a fan anymore." Banks later apologized saying that she is "Naturally Rude". Yeah thats an understatement
Lil Kim
This bad blood started when Banks and Kim were supposed to collab on a track and it fell through. According to Banks, Lil Kim was upset because she sent a track to Lil Kim with a reference rap already recorded. Banks used twitter to explain: "Everyone knows Lil Kim doesn't write her own raps and I saw this as a faster more efficient way of getting the track done." But Lil Kim's camp is denying that anything ever happened, EVER! Here's their statement: "We have no idea what they are referencing and have no desire to discuss the matter any further as there is nothing to talk about. It honestly seems that someone from Azealia's team would rather have her fans buy into manufactured drama instead of buying music."
Troy Carter
Troy used to be Azealia's manager and when she decided to relieve him of his services she claimed that Troy was planting false stories about her to press. I have no idea what stories she's referring to because the only stories I've ever heard were from her beef's with other celebrities.
Nicki Minaj
Apparently Azealia turned down a tour to work on Nicki Minaj's album. Later on in the day Minaj Tweeted This: "#ManTheseB---hesDelirious". Of course Banks assumed the tweet was about her and decided to defend herself (not knowing if Nicki was actually talking about her or not) with this tweet: "I could be really unprofessional and post emails between ur manager and my booking agent but I won't...#veryquicklytakingyourjob." Well...Looks like the juries still out on the taking of the job. Seems like Azealia couldn't pull it off.
Dominique Young Unique
Dominique accused Banks of stealing lyrics from her songs. This time Banks didn't go her usual route she went semi-cool and said this: "You're reaching very far. I like you and your music. But no Im sorry. You're not getting any credit there." Young Unique retaliated by calling Banks a B**** and released a diss track called Big in Da Game.
Jim Jones
Azealia went after Jim because he released two mixtapes called Vampire Life and continuously used the word vamp in his lyrics. Apparently Azealia wasn't impressed and took to social media to let the world know that she was the first to use the word in her lyrics. Which led to a back and forth between the two rappers Jim calling Banks a two-bit slore and Banks came back with a diss track called Succubi.
Funkmaster Flex
Flex decided to defend Jim and criticized Azealia for releasing the diss track. Azealia didn't like it and decided to take to her favorite outlet twitter voice her grievances: "@funkmasterflex Tell that n---a Jim to defend himself. You stay out of it and have yourself a glass of fat free water." Calling him a "old dusty fat f--k and a butch queen. She then said, @funkmasterflex You can call my p---y."
Angel Haze
Former friends got into a beef over a statement Azealia made on twitter: "Seriously, if you were not born and raised in NY.... DON'T CLAIM NY. YOU ARE NOT A NEW YORKER." The tweet wasn't directed at Haze but she took it that way (Haze is from Michigan) and retaliated like a hurt lover with a leaked track called On the Edge with screen shots of text conversations and Banks' picture. When Banks got wind she responded via Twitter: "Whatever, angel haze was just waiting for an opportunity to express her Azealia Banks jealousy" I highly doubt its jealousy, Banks is no more famous than Haze is. As far as I'm concerned they're both on equal playing field.
Perez Hilton
Perez Hilton (the king of spewing vile s***) expressed his support of Angel Haze in their little battle and Banks took offense. She called him a "Messy F*****" Interesting that she would call him messy. Game recognize game I guess. Anyway when she was accosted for her use of the slur she explained her usage like this: "A f----t is not a homosexual male. A f----t is any male who acts like a female. There's a BIG difference. As a bisexual person I knew what I meant when I used that word...My most sincere apologies to anyone who was indirectly offended by my foul language."
All these beefs were pointless especially this new one with T.I. Azealia Banks just needs to give it up. Focus on her career and music. No need for the constant hatred and shade. Burning yourself in the industry is not a good look. At some point acting like a respectable young woman is better than being a foul mouth idiot who has barely broken the barrier in their music career.
